Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani said on Saturday that he would serve as a teacher after he leaves office.
“As I did teaching after being finance minister, I would return (to the job) and serve the country’s children,” Ghani said addressing an event during his visit to northern Balkh province.
He also pledged that the presidential election will be held on time as prescribed by the Constitution.
“Keeping a grip on seat is a tradition which we must stop,” Ghani said.
The event was addressed also by the provincial governor, Mohammad Ishaq Rahguzar, who warned that the five districts were facing high threat from militants as he said that low number of police and intelligence forces in capital city Mazar-i-Sharif was a serious problem.
