Saudi Arabia will host an international conference of Islamic scholars to explore the prospect of establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan next week, Saudi media reported.
The International Conference of Muslim Scholars on Peace and Stability in Afghanistan will be held in Jeddah and Makkah cities on 10th and 11th July respectively, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The conference will be attended by eminent scholars from Afghanistan as well as from other countries.
It will be convened on the basis of the resolutions of the Islamic Summit and the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.
The meeting aims to foster efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan as well as to denounce terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations based on the teachins of Islam.
The conference follows two Islamic scholars conference held in Indonesia and Afghanistan.
